Situated .8 mile from the Catalochee Valley National Park, Elk Point is named for the area in the Park where elk have been reintroduced into North Carolina after a 200 year absence. Elk Point adjoins the Cataloochee trail and is the perfect base station for hiking in the park.

Elk Point is a beatiful expansive log home on 10 private acres. It features three spacious bedrooms, each with queen-sized bed, a sleeping loft with another queen bed and two twin beds, two baths, a gorgeous living area with stone fireplace and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

The logs of Elk Point are hand-hewn with dovetail corners. The interior is all wood tongue in groove walls, floors and ceilings.

At sunrise and starset, you can enjoy fabulous views from the 4000 ft elevation of this home.

The access road to Elk Point may not be suitable for motorcycles and/or trailers. The house is a short walk up from the end of the driveway.

Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel at least 60 days before your planned arrival, your payment will be refunded less a $35 administration fee. If you cancel with less than 60 days notice, AND the house is re-rented, your payment will be refunded minus the $35 administration fee.
